A presentation of grant opportunities within the USAID program “Competitive Economy of Ukraine” took place in Cherkasy.

In the current conditions of a military state, business becomes even more relevant than ever as a tool for economic development, uniting the community, and laying a strong foundation for post-war recovery. Understanding all the challenges and difficulties that Ukrainian businesses are currently facing, it is essential to propose effective tools for their support and elevation to a qualitatively new level. This becomes possible through grant opportunities and programs aimed at fostering entrepreneurial potential and the business environment.

One of the most powerful tools for supporting business and entrepreneurship is the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), in partnership with which the Cherkasy Regional Development Agency (RDA) together with the Cherkasy Regional State Administration, the Cherkasy Regional Employers’ Association, and the Cherkasy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Cherkasy CCI) organized a presentation of grant opportunities for small and medium-sized businesses for entrepreneurs in the Cherkasy region.

During the event held on August 10, 2023, representatives of USAID not only presented current information on available grant programs and participation requirements but, most importantly, provided the opportunity to hear feedback from businesses that have already received support from the program. As an institution that specializes in assisting in the preparation and submission of grant applications, the Cherkasy RDA is also a valuable resource capable of making a significant contribution to supporting Cherkasy businesses.

Overall, this event allowed Cherkasy businesses to discuss their pressing needs and hear tangible steps towards their resolution, both through the support of grant programs and through the support of local authorities and the community. We once again thank USAID and all co-organizers of yesterday’s event and look forward to further close cooperation!
